Ward was born in MonroeLouisiana on April 15,1976. Monroe Christian School served as her Christian elementary school. Following the completion of her high school studies, Ward moved on to River Oaks High School in the summer before her junior year. In the school, she was a part of the drill and dance team. Following her graduation, she was a student at Northeast Louisiana University. Ward quit school at thirteen and relocated to New York so that she could start modeling. She had the idea to attempt acting in the following years. The first time she appeared on stage was in an uncredited part in 1970's soap opera All My Children, and she was later cast in the lead in a drama for teens on NBC Premier-Time Malibu Shores. The morning soap Sunset Beach cast Ward as the female Meg Cummings in late 1996. She began her quest for her own film career, playing the neurotic Brittany Foster in the erotic film The In Crowd. While the film failed to be a success in theaters but it made a splash
